Drama

To date there has not been a great response to putting on a play this autumn/winter.  It can take some considerable time to practise and get a play together and as we are well into the month of September now, we would want to be starting soon if there are enough interested people.  A suggestion for a 3 act play has been recommended ” The Maiden Aunt” by www.Jim Keary playwright who is  from Co Westmeath which is very funny. However, considering most may never have acted before or be a bit rusty maybe a 3 act is a bit daunting to start.  He has a few one act comedy plays too.

The hall is newly renovated and it would be a great past time for the autumn.  Could anyone who is interested please let Marion Noone know or drop an email to frenchparkvillage@gmail.com.  Thanks

A.G.M. Town Development

The A.G.M for the Town Development will take place on Monday September 26th at 9.pm in the Village Hall.  A new committee needs to be formed to continue the good works of the group. The Tidy towns and Town Development work hand in hand to help gain funds and grants for projects in the village which assist Tidy Towns and help make this a nice place for us all to live.  Please come along if you are interested.

What the Tidy Towns 2011 had to say about Frenchpark

It was a pleasure to note that most, if not all, derelict properties in Frenchpark were neatly presented and this is a lesson to all TidyTowns participants, take a bow Frenchpark! The combination of the artwork programme and the treatment of derelict premises, sites and walls is most effective. Well done on your participation in An Taisce Litter Free Zone programme and good luck with your project at Eden House which is to be entered in the Dulux Let’s Colour project.

Results.. Tidy Town Results….

The wait is almost over as the ‘Final Countdown’ gets underway to the TidyTowns Awards Ceremony on Monday, September 5th next!

Excitement levels are building all across the country and this year, the ceremony will take place in The Helix Theatre, DCU in Dublin.

The results of this year’s competition, which is sponsored by SuperValu, will appear here on www.tidytowns.ie immediately after the ceremony and all entrants will receive their report and a results book in the post the day after the ceremony.

Many thanks to the Tidy towns committee for their hard work and commitment and to the fas workers.  The village is a credit to you all.  Taken by Marion Noone This guy is my favourite newcomer to the village…
